An African Bantu tale about many hungry animals who have crossed over the dry land looking for food. They find a tree which has all the fruits of the world but the branches are much too high. They must find the name of the tree and this is the journey to find its “special” name.

Peterborough Academy of Circus Arts – Circus Arts Performance and Workshop

Be entertained and amazed with a thrilling variety of Circus Arts including:  aerial silks, cyrwheel, hula hoop and glow poi. This show also includes a workshop where audience members have the opportunity to try out hula hoop dance and poi spinning to get a personal experience with the circus arts! Beany John and the Lakefield College School Dance Team

Beany John shares the traditional art of Hoop Dancing blended with contemporary music. She is both a teacher of hoop dance and an innovative performer, whose contemporary style incorporates elements of hip hop. Watch Beany John in the video below perform at the Bata Shoe Museum’s programming.

To Be Determined Theatre – The Paper Bag Princess: A Musical

Our final show of the season brings to life, the Robert Munsch classic The Paper Bag Princess. Action packed and filled with live music, singing, and adventure around every corner, this fun adaptation is a perfect fit for all ages!

Sunday, October 1st, 2017 – The Fitzgeralds

This show is a rare combination of high-energy fiddling, mind-blowing step dancing, exceptional musicianship and genuine sibling connection that resonates with audiences of all ages. Check out the video below to see The Fitzgeralds in action at Appaloosa Festival.

Sunday February 4th, 2018 – Comedy in Motion with Bob Cates

He keeps the crowd laughing with fast paced comedy routines involving advanced juggling, wild unicycling and balancing skills, black light laser props, and an insane plate spinning finale that has to be seen to be believed. Watch these clips of Bob’s past performance for a small taste of how great this show will be!

Rescheduled to April 21 due to weather –April 15, 2017 – Jimmy Chapman, NRG Breakdancing – performance and workshop

Professional breakdancer and choreographer Jimmy Chapman performs and leads an all-ages workshop in the Lakefield College School’s gymnasium. Watch this video and tell us you don’t want to be there just for the fun … and maybe to get a few tips on how to move your body like they do!
