Big City Shows in a Small Town Setting

Children’s Stage had its beginnings over 30 years ago, in the village of Lakefield, Ontario when a small group of dedicated parents saw the need to expose their children to high-quality performing arts.

Through the years our audiences have enjoyed a large variety of performances: theatre, dance, puppetry, mimes, clowns, opera and more. Watching the faces of our young audience members, there is no doubt that these artists spark creativity and broaden the experiences of the children in our community.

Children’s Stage Lakefield is completely organized by volunteers who book the performances, promote shows, apply for grants, account for the financials, take care of ticket sales and many other tasks needed to run a non-profit organization. We are a small yet mighty bunch!
